Prevention of Influenza in the General Population
Summary
The Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care recommends influenza vaccination in healthy adults (grade A recommendation) and children (grade A recommendation).
There is good evidence to support neuraminidase inhibitor prophylaxis against influenza in the household setting if it can be initiated within 36–48 hours of symptom onset in the index case (grade A recommendation).
